With the intention of developing the skill of golf of the SLN personnel, the SLN Golf association conducted a two-day Golf coaching camp at Sandy Bay Golf Course on 08th and 09th August under the directives of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, who is also the Chairman of the SLN Golf. This was conducted in parallel with the National Golf Development Programme. Deputy Area Commander Commodore Ananda Guruge graced the occasion on behalf of the Commander Eastern Naval area.

About 50 officers actively participated for this event and the coach, Mr. Jagath Caldera and SLN Golf team conducted the programme. In addition, half-a-day programme for children also conducted in parallel with this coaching camp.
