Archbishop of Colombo Blesses New Navy Commander

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne paid a courtesy call on the Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith on 24^th August 2015 at the Archbishop’s House in Colombo in order to receive his blessing on the new appointment. The Commander of the Navy was accompanied by his spouse, Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne and son Mr. Satyajith Wijegunaratne.

His Eminence conveyed the greetings of the Catholic Church to the Commander of the Navy on his appointment and invoked divine blessings for his endeavours as the Head of the Sri Lanka Navy. They also had discussions on a wide range of common issues in a cordial atmosphere.

The Commander of the Navy presented His Grace the Archbishop of Colombo a symbolize memento to mark the occasion.
