Navy Women’s Cricket team emerge champions

At the final encounter of the Sri Lanka women’s Premier Division - I Cricket tournament 2015 between Navy SC and Air force SC held at the Colts ground on 13th August 2015, the Navy SC secured their victory easily with 06 wickets at hand.

The Air force, batting first, bundled out for just 85 runs in 33 overs and Navy SC in their run chase reached the target in the 23rd over just loosing 04 wickets. OD Hasini Perera and OD Lasanthi Madushani scored 26 and 16 runs respectively and, with an inspiring spell of bowling, OD Oshadi Ranasinghe took 02 wickets for 16 runs.

Number of teams of renowned sports clubs in the country including tri-service and the police participated in the tournament which had been organized by the Sri Lanka Cricket.
