Navy extinguishes a fire effectively in Kalpitiya

The Navy Fire Fighting Team attached to SLNS Vijaya in Kalpitiya promptly attended to extinguish a house which had been on fire at Kurakkanhena in Kalpitiya and arrested the further expansion of the fire effectively.

The team was alerted by the OIC Kalpitiya police around 0100hrs on 11^th August 2015 about the incident. “The timely attendance of the Fire Fighting Team of the Sri Lanka Navy saved the house from total burning,” said the civilians who assisted to extinguish the fire.
