Navy facilitates an informative lecture on Public Administration
“Government servants are the link between the state and the public; they have a great responsibility of fulfilling the requirements of the people as and when required,” said Mr. W. A. Chulananda Perera, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Public Order and Christian Affairs, whilst presenting a lecture on “Good Public Administration” at the Admiral Somathilaka Dissanayake Auditorium of SLNS Parakrama in Colombo on 10th August 2015.
The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, the Director Generals of the SLN and a large number of officers and sailors attached to the Western Naval Command attended the lecture which was full of valuable information and perceptions on discharging duties with positive attitudes as public servants. It was the first lecture of a series of lectures which are scheduled to take place under a concept of the Commander of the Navy to uplift the efficiency of naval personnel.
On completion of the informative lecture, the Commander of the Navy presented a special memento to the visiting lecturer in appreciation of his acceptance to deliver the lecture on behalf of the Navy amidst his busy working schedule.
