Commander of the Navy pays homage to Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi & Ruwanweli Maha Seya

The Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne paid homage to the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and Ruwanweli Maha Seya in the sacred city of Anuradhapura on 27th July 2015 to receive blessings on his new appointment. The Navy Commander was accompanied by the Commander North Central Naval Area, Rear Admiral Dimuthu Gunawardena, and several senior naval officers.

Atamasthanadhipathi Dr. Ven. Pallegama Siriniwasa Nayaka Thera invoked the blessings of the Triple Gem on the Navy Commander and delivered an Anusasana. The Navy Commander offered Atamasthanadhipathi Thera an Atapirikara and expressed his heart-felt gratitude for his wise counsel. Thereafter, the Navy Commander called on the Chief Incumbent of the Ruwanweli Maha Seya Venerable Pallegama Hemaratana Thera to receive his blessings.
