One-day workshop on “Vehicle Emission Testing and its Importance”

The Directorate of Engineering of the Sri Lanka Navy organized a one-day workshop on “Vehicle Emission Testing and its Importance” at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium of SLNS Parakrama in Colombo on 21^st July 2015.

The Director Projects Vehicle Emission Testing of the Department of Motor Traffic, Mr. AW Dissanayake and Senior Environment Officer of the Central Environmental Authority, Mr. LD Jayasuriya conducted the programme. On completion of a classroom session, a practical session on emission testing of both petrol and diesel vehicles were conducted to share the technical knowhow.

The officers and the sailors from the Western Naval Area, who are engaged in transport duties, participated in the workshop. Plans are underway to conduct similar workshops in other naval areas in due course.
