This vital service was initiated on 24 December to ensure uninterrupted public transportation following the collapse of the bridge of Ambangahga following adverse weather.

Naval Social Responsibility mission flows on: 03 new RO plants to serve schools and communities
As part of its commitment towards enhancing public health and community welfare, 04 Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants, set up by the Sri Lanka Navy, were declared open for community use on 29 and 30 Dec 25. The facilities were made available in the Divisional Secretariat of Mahiyangana in Badulla and Ambanpola, Galgamuwa and Bingiriya Divisional Secretariats in Kurunegala.
