The Commandant’s Cup Sailing Regatta – 2025 concluded in style at Sandy Bay, Trincomalee, on 23 August, after four days of thrilling competition on the waves. Organized for the fifth time by the Naval and Maritime Academy, the event was held under the auspices of the Yachting Association of Sri Lanka (YASL). The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda, graced the closing ceremony and presented medals and trophies to the champions.

USS Santa Barbara departs island
