The Commander of the Navy conducted an on-site observation of the naval boat service operating along the Ambanganga on 10 Jan 26. This vital service was initiated on 24 December to ensure uninterrupted public transportation following the collapse of the bridge of Ambangahga following adverse weather.

The facilities were made available in the Divisional Secretariat of Mahiyangana in Badulla and Ambanpola, Galgamuwa and Bingiriya Divisional Secretariats in Kurunegala.
