Person with Kerala cannabis held during naval foot patrol

The Navy nabbed a person with Kerala cannabis, during a foot patrol conducted in Rakawa today (10th April 2020)

While conducting a wide range of programmes to arrest the threat of COVID-19 within the country, the Navy has not relaxed its grip on missions to raid illegal activities across the country. Accordingly, a group of naval personnel attached to the Southern Naval Command, during a foot patrol in Rakawa area, has detected a suspected person on the road and found about 05g of Kerala cannabis in his possession. Subsequently, the suspect along with cannabis was taken into naval custody.

The accused was identified as a resident of Netolpitiya in Rakawa, aged 36. The suspect along with Kerala cannabis was handed over to the Tangalle Police for further investigation.
