Navy assists apprehension of person with Kerala cannabis

The Navy apprehended a person in possession of 500g of Kerala cannabis, during a coordinated search conducted with the Police at Kahatagollewa in Kebithigollewa on 09^th March 2020.

As part of the Navy’s extended anti-drug operations to prevent drugs being smuggled in the country, a group of naval personnel attached to the North Central Naval Command had carried out this raid in coordination with the Police STF of Kebithigollewa. Accordingly, the raiding party managed to nab a person in possession of 500g of Kerala cannabis, at Kahatagollewa.

The accused has been identified as a resident of Bogaswewa, Kaduruwewa aged 24. The suspect along with Kerala cannabis was handed over to the Kebithigollewa Police for onward investigation.
