Three persons with Kerala Cannabis apprehended by Navy’s assistance

The Navy in coordination with the Police Narcotics Division-East apprehended two persons who were transferring Kerala cannabis and one drug dealer in the area, during a raid carried out at Munachchenai area in Kinniya on 22^nd January 2020.

As another step of Navy’s continuous drug prevention operations, Navy in coordination with Police Narcotics Division-East conducted a raid at Munachchenai area in Kinniya. During the raid two suspicious persons travelling on a motor bike were spotted. The suspects were searched and recovered about 2kg of Kerala cannabis in their possession and accordingly the suspects, stock of KG and the bike were apprehended. Further, a drug dealer in the area was also nabbed as per the information given by the two suspects.

The suspects were identified as residents of Thambalagamuwa and Kinniya areas aged 22, 32 and 36. Apprehended suspects, stock of KG and the bike were handed over to Kinniya Police for further investigation.
